Position Overview:

 

The SAP LMS Support Specialist is responsible for assisting with the setup, configuration, and onboarding of the SAP Learning Management System (LMS) for the organisation. This role involves providing support in implementing SAP LMS for end-users, ensuring system design and integration, assisting with content uploads, and providing troubleshooting assistance throughout the project. The ideal candidate will be collaborative, detail-oriented, highly organised, and possess a deep understanding of SAP LMS functionalities.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  1. LMS Setup & Configuration:
    • Support the initial discovery process that will inform the requirements for setup and configuration of the SAP LMS.
    • Support the initial configuration of user roles, permissions, and settings in the LMS
    • Ensure system integration with other enterprise tools is considered and aligned with business needs
    • Assist in the discovery and design of reports related to user progress, course completions, and other key metrics from SAP LMS.
  2. Transition Support:
    • Support the transition process for new users of the SAP LMS
    • Partner with the Training Design Team to support the creation of end-user training, including delivering basic tutorials and creating user-friendly documentation or guides for employees.
    • Work with the Process Specialist to document common processes, issues and solutions to build a knowledge base for users.
    • Identify areas for improvement and suggest process optimisations.
    • Help new users with troubleshooting basic technical issues during their onboarding process.
  3. Content Management:
    • Assist with uploading and organising training materials (courses, modules, documents, training completion data etc.) into the SAP LMS.
    • Ensure that all content is categorised correctly and available for users based on their roles and access permissions.
  4. System Testing & Troubleshooting:
    • Conduct UAT of system functionality to ensure a smooth transition experience, identifying and reporting any issues to the technical/project team.
    • Assist in troubleshooting technical issues related to SAP LMS for end-users during the transition process, escalating issues as needed.
    • Work with the IT, data and LMS implementation teams to resolve system issues quickly.
  5. Reporting & Analytics Support:
    • Provide support in analysing LMS data and preparing reports for stakeholders.
  6. Collaboration & Communication:
    • Collaborate with the Learning & Development team, HR, IT, reporting and other departments to ensure the effective deployment and integration of the SAP LMS
    • Communicate system updates, outages, and changes to users as necessary.

 

Qualifications: 

 

  • Experience:
    • 2+ years of experience supporting Learning Management Systems (LMS), preferably SAP LMS.
    • Experience with the set up and configuration of the SAP LMS
  • Technical Skills:
    • Understanding of SAP LMS functionalities, configuration, and setup.
    • Familiarity with Learning Management Systems and eLearning tools.
    • Experience with content management, course uploads, and system configuration.
  • Soft Skills:
    • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
    • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
    • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
    • Ability to work well with cross-functional teams, providing a positive experience for end-users.
