Job Responsibilities
What will your normal day look like:
As a People Advisor, you will provide end-to-end HR support to leaders and employees across the employee lifecycle. You will partner with stakeholders to deliver people-focused solutions, provide expert HR advice, support employee relations matters, and contribute to HR projects and continuous improvement initiatives that drive business success.
- Provide expert HR advice and coaching to leaders on employee relations matters, people management, and workplace issues
- Partner with business leaders to support performance management, employee engagement, and talent retention initiatives
- Manage end-to-end employee relations cases, including investigations, grievances, disciplinary actions, and workplace disputes
- Guide leaders through performance improvement processes, conduct matters, and employee separation activities
- Interpret and apply employment legislation, awards, policies, and procedures to ensure compliant and consistent people practices
- Support conflict resolution and facilitate positive workplace outcomes through effective stakeholder management
- Identify people-related risks and recommend practical solutions aligned with business objectives and HR best practices
- Prepare case documentation, reports, and recommendations to support decision-making and risk mitigation
- Contribute to HR projects, policy reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives that enhance the employee experience
- Build trusted relationships with leaders and employees by providing timely, pragmatic, and commercially focused HR consulting support
Qualifications
What you'll do:
Essential
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in Employee Relations, HR Advisory, or a similar role
- Strong knowledge of HR practices in employee relations, performance management, and employment legislation
- Experience managing employee relations cases, including investigations and disciplinary matters
- Proven ability to provide HR advice and coaching to leaders and stakeholders
- Strong communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment and managing multiple priorities
Desirable
- Knowledge of contemporary HR practices, workplace relations, and compliance requirements
- Experience contributing to HR projects, change initiatives, and process improvements
- Experience using HRIS platforms and preparing HR reports or workforce insights
- Exposure to and experience in providing advice in relation to Australian employment legislation
